An Open Platform for Multimedia Resource Exchange

Project Description

This project aimed at developing open software tools for multimedia content providers and Internet services providers to simplify and facilitate the creation, hosting, management, and delivery of multimedia contents. Advanced content-management systems such as intelligent content redirector, automatic multi-resolution content transcoder, and dynamic content replicator will also be investigated.

Currently a testbed for content providers have been setup and in operation. More information regarding this testbed can be found at the CyberLibrary web site.

Project Funding
This project is funded by an Industrial Support Fund Grant from the HKSAR Industry Department.
